Apple Black Friday deals 2021: Best early offers on Apple Watch, iPhones, Beats and more

Apple might be announcing its latest iPhone (and all kinds of other things), but if you want to get some of Apple’s hottest smartphones and Macs to play with while waiting, here are some early offers from its discount site Apple Black Friday, just a year before the real deal happens in 2018.

12 September 2017 – Apple Black Friday deals

12 September will see Apple’s latest iPhone receive a big price cut, just before the rumours claim the Apple Watch Series 3. Deals start at £300 for the new iPhone 8 (which itself will cost at least £1000 unlocked), £400 for the iPhone 7 and £450 for the iPhone 7 Plus. There will also be discounts for the iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPad mini and iPad Pro. But these are “limited edition” and only “targeted” – nothing a real Apple fan would want to rush out and buy.

1 November 2016 – Black Friday Amazon launches thousands of deals in advance of the main Black Friday event

Amazon’s Black Friday became a bit of a habit in 2016, launching thousands of deals in advance of the main event, with many discounted products out of stock within a couple of hours.

Gold was often the deal of the day, while bigger brands (Cadbury’s chocolates, Windex, Heinz tomatoes, Calvin Klein undies, Pringles potato crisps, Mary Kay, Terrell Owens and plenty more) also went on sale.

6 November 2016 – Free iPhone 5c

Released as an alternative to the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5c was marketed as “last year’s iPhone”, launching in 2013. It followed the 5S’s move to larger capacity storage.

However, it proved to be far from a “last year’s iPhone”. Thanks to some decent handset-focused software updates it was a bit of a success, bringing iPhone users with low-powered handsets an alternative that wasn’t heavily cluttered with Apple software.

26 November 2015 – iPhone 6 offer

Barely a week after the release of the iPhone 6, Apple began a sale, with much cheaper iPhones selling out almost instantaneously. The iPhone 6 deal offered a 64GB iPhone 6 16GB for £349. On the day it was meant to go on sale and online, it was all sold out.

1 November 2015 – MacBook Air review

The ultraportable MacBook Air, which began the 12-inch trend of MacBooks in a slim form factor, proved a hit for Apple, and is the fastest-selling notebook computer in Apple’s history. It has consistently been named by tech reviewers as one of the world’s best notebooks, but it was only released last November.

The follow up to the MacBook, the MacBook Pro, was announced in September 2015 and went on sale the same month.

26 November 2014 – Apple is cutting £200 off the price of the iPhone 5

Released in 2012, the iPhone 5 is the best selling iPhone of all time, except by a small margin, according to Kantar Worldpanel. But in order to keep the fans happy, Apple has begun a sales promotion, offering a choice of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models for just £249, £299 and £329 respectively.
